I’ve been playing with the breath. Breathing is an involuntary action and yet we can consciously choose to alter it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It is also an exquisitely tangible experience of action - conscious awareness and choice, and surrender - in the trusting & knowing that it’s going to happen regardless. It’s a play ground of exploring your yin yang essence.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A lesson in the doing and the being. And how they can work hand in hand in the subtlest of ways.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sit or lie down quietly and just breathe. Observe this natural relationship your body has with breath. Feel this energy of life force continuously cycling in and out naturally. Now bring focused attention to your inhales & exhales. And play!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Explore lengths, depth and cycles of breath and how they affect your body and state of wellbeing. Notice the action of attention to breathing and then the sweet surrender in just exhaling or breathing naturally trusting that your body knows what it needs.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Investigate how both of these states feel in your body. How subtle they both can be. How they can dance beautifully with one another. At times action is required, other times surrender is what is needed. But the one always follows the other. ☯️
