when there’s just so much to do, and so many high pressure thoughts along the lines of “I should do this”, “I’m supposed to do that”, “I must do this”, “I have to do that”. Phew, exhausting!

Those thoughts are generally what sabotage moments when you can actually sit down and take a beat too. We’re so used to functioning in overdrive.

But those are the perfect moments to slow right down enough to ask yourself “what do I feel like doing in this moment?” Letting your body lead the way instead of your mind.

More often than not, the feeling answer is conducive to a state of being rather than doing. And can you let yourself be in those moments, feel your way around, even if just for 5 minutes. Rest, breathe, stretch, read that book, sit in the sun, go for a walk in the woods. Take a beat.

I promise you now, the world will go on unhindered by you taking a moment to yourself. But you won’t. It’ll cost you.
